A bath in the candle light.

These are the days, where they are so long
These are the days, where I am too stressed,
that not even a gym session could solve
These are the days, where I am so tired,
but not tired enough to crash
These are the days, where I raid my bath collection
And chose the one that smells my mood,
These are the days, where I crave my Honeysuckle scented candle,
as I unwind in the warm water, that sometimes carry bubbles.

As Autumn becomes Winter,
These are the days, where I open the bathroom window
To let in the cold air,
These are the days, where I listen to sound of raindrops
To the breeze or the wind,
These are the days, where I soak into nothingness
And let my imagination sore

Wellington Boots.

When it rains,

I have been mentioning the rain, the sounds it leaves on my bedroom window, that wakes me up in the early hours of the morning. I have never complained.
The rain has been coming down more, harder and leaving more than just a wet ground. Water is collecting in groups, small little groups that patches up on the ground. The more it rains, the more it joins the group, until it will becomes one large group.
The puddles that have joined us, builds upon my inner child. The desire to splash in the puddles, explore the drops that fall upon the objects we use in everyday and the beauty of the colours that become more noticeable in water. Droplets falling from the leaves, the sounds it makes as it hits the ground, the smell it leaves within the air.
When it rains, I just want to play.

It is preferable to wear our Wellington Boots. The season for Wellington Boots. Yesterday, I didn't have my Wellington Boots, so when it rained and created such big beautiful puddles. I knew I couldn't join in and splash, but to admire the souls exploring something that is remarkable from our earth.

When you hear the Rain...

This weekend, I've heard the rain.
It's been a while since I've heard the rain pounding on my bedroom window at four in the morning. For some reason it didn't cause me to be grouchy or more tired. It soothed me to know end, to just lie and listen to the soft then hard patter of raindrops against my window.
It brings me this feeling, where all I long is to relax on the sofa with a blanket to snuggle into, putting on my bunch of autumn feeling movies.
I fear when I speak of Autumn, it will become the generic sounds, the need to relax and drinking hot chocolate or tea, watching certain Halloween related films. That is what you'll hear from me, but I can promise you I save my hot chocolate for November- January. I spend my rainy days drinking Green Tea, especially after a gym session and a warm shower.

Yesterday, was no exception to my appreciating Autumn month. I woke early to the sounds of the rain, which disappeared and Mother Nature graced us with a sunshine that shone bright all day, but as the axis is tilting towards the Winter Solstice we still had the chill in the air. The morning wake up, concluded a drink of water and preparing myself for the gym. A new thing I have restarted, signing myself up to my old gym and making sure I attend again. Autumn chills, has me encouraged to receive heat through working out.
After the greatest motivational speaking I gave myself throughout my session, "I will become warm, I will become fit, I will become everything I dream." I left to go home, feeling the wind brush itself against my car. I am then in a warm shower, washing away the work out and preparing my day of movies.
This preparation led to a house cleaning session, of dusting and hovering, making sure the kitchen is rid of dirty dishes. The movies, two classics, two great autumn choices. With my Green Tea and my blanket, I settled to watch the films of Practical Magic and Labyrinth. I became absorbed, as the sun sets outside and temperature drops.
It was the interval between the two films, I found myself outside. Slippers on, cardigan wrapped tight around my waist, as I stand in the garden admiring our rose bush as I breathe in the autumn air.

I was home.

Hello Autumn

Hello Autumn,
I didn't see you creep up on me. I have failed to notice the changing colours of the leaves and perhaps the slight change to the air. Has it actually gotten colder? Or are we still living with summer warmth?
I've failed to notice the days are slowly creeping shorter, although I wake up at 5 and it is actually dark outside.
I have failed to notice the changes around me, only noticing the changes inside me. Or perhaps I should say the lack of change within. The entirety of September has been consumed to what plans will hold, what I need to do to achieve it. That I have failed to notice the beauty of the world around me.
My five am wake up calls, has me stumbling to reach the shower in the darkness that I failed to notice has been getting deeper. The drive through the mist, that turned to fog as September draws itself to an end. I've worked and socialised. Slept and unwind, and still I never stopped to think that the season I love the most is here now. Just like the thousands around me, it's here and I never notice.
Today, England stay true to their nation and it rained like never before. The autumn air has finally turned and I felt a chill in the morning that left me wanting a wool jumper. It was today, the desire to watch Autumn/Halloween movies and curl up under my special blanket. Today, I notice the trees have now gone a beautiful orange and red colour, still with majority of green. The leaves are now on the floor, swirling in the autumn breeze that makes me want my scarves. Today, I want to put on my red lipstick and embrace the contrast it has against the ever changing leaves.
Hello Autumn, I'm sorry I never noticed you until 4th October. But I am here now and I want to embrace the dying of the summer and prepare for the cold months, the reflection before life graces itself again in Spring. I'm ready for the change Autumn. Let's do it again.

Yours human,
Claire.

It's a spring time!!

Hello lovelies!
OK, I'm sorry but lovelies is definitely not something I should call you people. I mean you are all lovely, I'm sure. It's just not something I would call people that. Too enduring. I suppose because of the post I want to give you today is a little bit more on the beauty side. Creative Writing, Nailed it!

We have officially entered March for a good week now and it is time for a little spring clean. I MADE A JOKE! You guys really don't want to see my bedroom at this very moment, because I have trashed it making videos and just generally procrastinating with Sims 3. To Tim, my brother, I know you will never read this but I am currently disliking you for letting me have your Sims game. Ass hole.

Now, that was a brief notion into my life, let's get on with the post.
If you are all aware (if you aren't you are about to be), I like to explore and get creative with Make-up. I love trying out new things or just generally thinking that my face is like a huge canvas waiting for an amazing artist to come a long and make me pretty! As it turns out, I have been watching a few YouTube videos of people creating their 2014 Spring/summer look.
I like to wear something different on my face everyday if possible.
It then gave me an idea to do a little playing. I decided to create my own Spring/Summer 2014 look and this is what was created.

I'm so photogenic.

I pretty much decided on warm colours of purple and cream for this look. Wearing only a purple eye liner to keep the strangely bright eyed look.
Lipstick was a neutral look, but we all know it is more about wearing lip gloss this year. So I will be exchanging the lipstick for a lip gloss in the future.
I also have this new stained blush look from Rimmel, which I have now completely fallen head over heals for. So that one will be used a lot in the future.

I also used the Company Lashes that came free with this month Company Magazine. I thought it was amazing and totally will be looking forward to using it again.

Product I've used;
Rimmel Stay Matte primer
Wide awake Rimmel Concealer (not photographed)
Maxfactor Colour Adapt foundation
Rimmel Clear complexion powder
No7 eye shadow (sorry, doesn't say what it is called)
The colour institute Eye shadow palette (which I've stolen from my mother)
Barry M super soft eye crayon.
Company Lashes
Jelly Pong Pong Caribbean Sun Bronzer (not photographed)
Rimmel Stay blushed in pop of pink
Maxfactor lipstick in Rosewood

While we are here, I've uploaded a new video. Where I am wearing the make up all shown as above!
Toodles!
Oh For the love god.

Lipcote, Primark Haul.

Did you all  remember that time I posted a clothes Haul video?
One of the products that I did buy, and spoke about it on the video was a lipstick glue like thing?

Well during my weekend, I have had the best friend up around. This include a drunken night out, of exploring bars in Bristol city centre. Also exploring museums and art work.
Currently just fallen in love with an artist called Francis Danby.
Which I request you all research his work. The artist was born from around mid 1800's or early 1900's. His artwork though of oil paintings and sketches I find realistic, but with a tint of something magical and enchanting.

Now, back to the Lipstick saver thingy. I really should just get off my bed and find the actual true name of this product, to make this more helpful.
Ok, I got over my lazy notion!
The product was from Primark, it has been coming out along with their beauty products. It doesn't have any of the Primark logo on it. I just brought it from Primark and at a price of about £2? So, I did get a little bargain? It is called Lipcote.

BACK TO THE REVIEW!
I can't actually remember saying it on the video, but I'm pretty sure I did mention I would do a small review on how it went. Did it keep my lipstick sealed on? Did it last for a long time?

Those questions have been answered. Last night, when Christina and I went out to explore the bars of Bristol. I decided to apply and lovely red colour to my lips and to lock in that colour, I applied the Lipcote on top of the lipstick, left it to set for a few moments and then I was off out for the night.
Applying it is easy, using the brush that is provided. Just sweep it over the lipstick, there is a small amount of tingling upon the lips as it settles, but it is quick to disappear.
The most important questions answered though; Yes, this product did keep the lipstick sealed on for a long period of time and it didn't leave that washed off look after having your lips around a glass through each sip of drink.
My lips at the end of the night had more a lip stained look, instead of a blotchy end of the era of the lipstick.
I did only have to reapply the lipstick once during that night, instead of at least five or six times that comes normal.
So, yes a product that I would recommend!

Good evening and good night!

It

This book came out a year ago and I remember the uproar of how terrible the book was and how disappointed of some fans and readers alike was.
I remember the disappointment filling my twitter feed and had me reluctant to purchase this book.
I remember the day I actually bought this book. It was the beginning of the year and I was having some serious fashion feels. I needed something I could read and have some sense of self style. This book appeared before me and I remember thinking to myself, "I forgot about this book ever being created."
I remember picking it up and sitting on a sofa in Waterstones across this lady with half greying hair. She looked like a hiker, in some interesting hiking boots. I remember feeling very glammed up next to her and her eyes piercing into the side of my head as she watched me sit down with this pink hardback on my lap.

I remember flipping through the pages of this book and staring at some of the instagram styled photos that had me feeling jealous of how artistic they are.
I spent half an hour in Waterstones reading parts of the books, the husband of the lady came and exchanged some 'what are going to do next?' discussions before disappearing and purchasing the books within his hands. The lady stayed for some time afterwards, but then finally disappearing into the world of shopping with her husband.
The first paged will always struck me as the love of horses was never really the love of horses. But the love of the clothes she could wear. I related, I had always loved the world of cheerleading, but only for the costumes they wore. I had always been a fan minimalism. The girls bands we tried imitating and those crazy hair styles we wanted when we was younger. I personally remember getting my hairdresser back then, to cut my hair like the Olsen twins from Two of a Kind.

I took the book home and made it a statement around my make-up table. A month passed and I picked it up to give it a read, it lasted me a day.
I can understand the disappointment. I felt it too on some pages.
I also felt that reading a book, I didn't quite understand the point of it.
Then I remembered the reason as to why I was reading the book. I wanted to read something that had an understanding of a sense of style.
I remember finishing the book and developed an understanding of Alexa Chung style, the way she is. What inspired her to dress the way she does.
I remember it also gave me an understanding of how and what I want to dress like. People and their wardrobes that inspire the way I would like to dress.
It also gave me an understanding of what I want to be. An inspiration to others.

A book that had so many bad reviews, turns out to be one of my most inspiring book, I have ever come across.
With this book, it has given me more ideas to write about. More ideas on what and who I would like to be inspired from. It also gave me the determination to clean out my car of CD's and restack them with music I actually enjoy.

So, ta Alexa Chung for being one of my muse, in creating my wardrobe now and in the future and also thank you for letting me realise how I am still unique.

Review of my Pampering buys!

To common reading fans, I know you are out there. I know you keep coming back to read this blog, with every new post that comes... I know it. I just know it!
You might remember about a post or so amount ago, that I am on a beauty pampering moment. Which resulted to me buying new pampering style products for me to try out and see if there is a positive outcome. You may also remember that I deliberatly stayed away from the advertised products and only concentrated with the shops like Lush and The Body Shop.

The original idea was to do a video blog on it, or a vlog as some people call it. It took me about two hours of filming me talking about what I wanted to say. Only to actually realise, it is far more easier for me to type or write my review than to actually talk to a camera and being all ! It t'Blah Blah.' The social awkwardness and the nerdy side to me.
So, I present to you a recording of me trying out my pampering products and here will be my review!

Now, the first thing I tried out was the BB Seaweed Face mask from Lush
I would officially like to introduce to you, my new favourite face mask product. This is quite literally amazing. I have used it a couple of times now and each time I have used it, my skin feel so cleansed and purified and even after a full days of work there is hardly any greasy shiny thing my skin likes to do.
It doesn't dry out my skin as much, because it is suitable for first time triers and slightly sensitive skin types. So I do recommend this product.
The second thing I tried out in the video is a bit of this.
The Exfoliator cream in the pink bottle.
Now, I have used this a couple of times during the week and it does make my skin feel refreshed and slightly ex foliated. But I still don't know about this product. I think it smells great and it does help minimise the yucky feeling from my skin, but I suppose I just don't use it enough to get an actual positive result. So will have to try it out more.
The last thing I used in the video is the Seaweed Mattifying lotion. I quite literally love this lotion. I have been using it every day this week, and my skin feels refreshed and clearer. It controls the shine I get throughout the day and actually helps minimise some pores. I just think it is amazing. Word of advice, they really do mean it when they say not to get it too close to the eye, because a couple of days this week I have spent morning of eye wiping from tears and stinging eyes!
Happy weekend everyone and until next time!

Those pampering essentials.

Happy Weekend people!
Lately with the thanks to YouTube and other girlie blogs on here, I have been showing a keen interest in the beauty products. I have been watching a lot of make-up tutorials and on YouTube recently a pampering night in. I have been taking note on the beauty products on what have been used and have been considering on trying them out.
Ah, there is a hitch though! I am absolutely pants on looking for and even contemplating on buying beauty products. If I'm honest, I am kind of like a man!? But I am determine to get try new things and determine to get the one that will suit my body needs. It all about trial and error for the first few attempts to someone who is new about getting products that is stepping out of the advertising area!
So, the first attempt is, a face mask! The face mask I went and purchased was from Lush. I never normally buy things from Lush but always receive products from there as gifts! I always love the products I receive from the place, the natural way it comes across has always had me interested, and that is why I went there today.
The first rule to a new beauty product buyer is to communicate! Communicate from previous buyers on their opinions, and to communicate with the staff within the shop to help find the product you are looking for. I found that by being approached by a Sales Assistant within the shop was not only excellent to help me find the type of product I am looking for, or something new to try due to my skin, but to have a friendly face to just chat to. I work with children, any grown up talk from any stranger is good enough for me.
My skin ranges from really disgusting greasy skin to sensitive, so the Shop Assistant recommended this face mask for me to try out as a beginner.
It was really easy to use, like all face mask.. Just apply to clean dry skin, let it dry for about 2-5 minutes and wash off with warm water! Fantastic right? Now, what I loved about this product is the seaweed you scoop up and just slather onto your skin! Ok, a little joke on my part, but seriously. I really liked the tingly sensation you get as soon as you apply it on, it like you can feel it already starting to work! The sensation doesn't finish until you have washed it off.
Once you have washed it off, the skin felt really smooth and soft and well, to put it in the words of my sister.. "My face feel likes a babies bottom!"
It also makes my skin feel really hydrated and not at all dry out. So I do recommend this product to any natural face mask first time buyers out there!
My mission for this face mask, is how it feels in the morning (it is, 11'0'clock pm here), as normally after a nights sleep, I wake up to really disgusting greasy skin. So, I am hoping the grease will have ceased a little bit and my skin stills feels refreshed!

Other buys from The Body Shop!
The bloody damn Shop Assistant had my get those loyalty cards! Which I don't regret, because from the sounds of it. I save pretty much a lot. I have heard some good things about the shop, so I cannot wait to give these products a good go.
What I got was:-
From left-right.
Vitamin E Cream Exfoliator
Seaweed Mattifying moisture lotion
Blusher- pink
Vitamin C Energising face Spritz- This came free with the loyalty card I got, and I tried it out as soon I got home. It smelled like oranges! But I felt really refreshed and you could see your skin liven up a bit!

I'll let you know, via here and on YouTube on how well the others went!
Toodles!

P.S. Currently reading Murakami- Sputnik Sweetheart, and it is really good so expect a book review soon!

Those First attempts!

Guten Tag world.
Today on this beautiful Sunday, where the wind is blowing, the sun is disappearing behind clouds and coming back out to say that glorious "Hello!" I am having that lovely lazy Sunday feeling. Which concludes in me wearing my favourite Chemistry tee and those all time favourite Skinny jeans! I am actually feeling quite great! My hair looks good, my skin is nasty still but I am on a water drink to attempt to clear it up and also on a no bread/butter for a bit. (I actually started that one today, so I'll let you know how it goes?? To be honest I think should lower my intake of wine as well.... BUT IT IS JUST SO GOOD!) It also helps that last night, I did the ultimate female pampering session. That includes a bath bomb filled tub, some amazing legs shaving and under arms! Ex foliating the skin, moisturising, face mask and a good old nails and toe nail pamper. A glass of wine (seriously not an alcoholic!), incense for the bath room, something to read and some good music! Now, I am normally the one for peace and quiet when I am having that ultimate female pampering session, but lately I have been feeling the music obsession. It also didn't help that with what little money I have left from this month, I spent on Itunes..
So after that pampering session and believe it or not an early night for me, I woke up this morning feeling refreshed and well just AMAZING! With a lazy day like today I am hoping I will feel amazing again tomorrow for work. But knowing me, I am having so much fun with just relaxing today, that going to work tomorrow will probably hurt me. Then again, right now I feel so awake I could possibly do a good days work. Work is good for you, mind, body and soul.

I have actually made use of my lazy Sunday by attempting a hair style.
I am probably the worst female, to try and do something new with my hair or face because I would much rather read book or draw, or lately doing fuck all and wasting my time on tumblr...
So by having a girly weekend has resulted me doing a fishtail braid to the hair! Ok, I know I got the hang of what I need to do with the hair, but it is going to take a lot of practise for me to get it to look right! First off, my hair isn't the great hair to do it with, (Ha! Already making up excuses) because it is very layered and still growing! I will also like to point out, that I am very pleased with my attempts and even posted a YouTube video about it!

It doesn't even look like a fishtail braid! Practise Claire!!
